Description
All that is on it will perish. Only there will remain whatever is with thy Lord the Master of Glory and Honour. Which then of the favours of your Lord will you twain deny? All that are in the heavens and the Earth beseech Him. Every day He is manifesting in another glory. Which then of the favours of your Lord will you twain deny? ('The Holy Quran'. al-Rahman [The Gracious]: 27 - 31). These verses comprise subjects of deep gnosis. Everything is mortal is an announcement known to all but still one lives as if it is forever. For this reason Allah the Almighty states with great force and vigour that everything is mortal and only what is with the will of God shall remain. Not outside of it. This subject clearly reveals the relationship of a thing with its importance that if one had stuck to the world for one's respect, name and standing or whatever else then that will also perish and only the glory of God's power and majesty would remain. Before now the scientists had said that the proton was everlasting. The deceased Dr. Salam carried out great work [to prove] that it can destruct. With the blessing of Allah his eminence in terms of rationality is well known to the whole world and in fact he is the scientist who was held in esteem by the greatest monarchs of the world for his moral standards and dignified character but in spite of all this he was not arrogant in the slightest. This was the dignity of character that had nothing to do with the Nobel Prize. This also holds a strange message for the common folk who cannot achieve any position that they too are either among the great or the small and both great and small are to perish so why not attach yourselves to the one whose glorious face of pleasure is immortal. None with whom God is not pleased can achieve immortality and this is the same subject contained in the words اضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً ['well pleased and well pleasing'].* The righteous end of Respected Professor Dr Abdus Salam drew my attention to his righteous beginning. His affiliation with and loyalty to Tawhid [Oneness of God], unshakable belief in the unity of God, continuously refuting the ungodly. The doctor was the fruit of his parents' prayers. His father and mother were very holy people, they lived a sincere and pure life. He was a tribute all his life to the acceptance of the sincerity of his parents. Despite having reached such a high position in the scientific world he was completely convinced of the existence of God. Then the humility that comes from belief in the peerless unity of God was found perfected in his person. He had a relationship[ with the Caliphate based on sincere obedience and loyalty. May Allah elevate the station of the deceased doctor and may Allah the Almighty continue the spirit of his greatness that is the fruit of prayers to dwell among his children and family. I advise the Community that whenever you ask God for exultation ask for the exultation of humility. One should also pray that Allah may safeguard from every peril of the station and lead to the pinnacle of heavenly talents. So pray for a righteous end. May Allah the Almighty elevate the Ahmadiyya Community to these high positions and then also grant them the worldly positions as a Sign of it. Brother Muzaffar Ahmad Zaffar of America has also passed away a few days ago who also possessed many good qualities that I loved as did Mian Muhammad Sadiq who was martyred by some evil people in Pakistan. I would also lead the funeral prayer in absentia of some other decased persons after the Jumma [Friday] prayer. * Return to thy Lord well pleased and well pleasing. ('The Holy Quran'. al-Fajr [The Dawn]: 29). The text http://www.alislam.org/urdu/sermon/FST19961122-UR.pdf © The Tahir Archive / MTA International, 2013.
