Friday Sermon 18 April 1997

I remind you of a very important incident in the history of the Ahmadiyya Community that occurred a hundred years ago from today.  The Jumma today which is taking place on the day of Eid is a reminder of a Jumma of a hundred years ago from today which also took place on the day of Eid.

The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) had made a Prophecy about Lekh Ram and the time of its fulfilment was mentioned in the phrase of this revelation that this incident would occur on Eid and Eid would be nearest to it which meant that the 2 Eids would be combined,  there would be one perfect Eid and the second Eid would be joined with it and that Lekh Ram would be a victim of the wrath and punishment of Almighty God within 6 years and would be killed and that Friday came in 1897 which was on the day of Eid and became The Eid in being a Jumma and an Eid that were perfect in their own way and the following day that day of Eid arose when a youth thrust a knife into Lekh Ram's belly and killed him.

The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) had seen a vision in which he saw an angel carrying a knife in hand who was asking for Lekh Ram ...... and then who was the that murderer was not found despite great effort and searching? Where did he come from? This was the punishment coming to him for blaspheming against Muhammad the Holy Prophet of Allah.  So this is a glorious Sign that took place a hundred years ago in 1897.

So come let us pray that Allah the Almighty who does not lack any Signs should again show such Signs in support of Ahmadiyya because today dozens and thousands of Lekh Rams have been born who spout filth and dishonour the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) day and night.  This is not a coincidence, it seems that this year is destined to be the year of the Mubahila [Quranic prayer duel] because when I delivered the Challenge of Mubahila before this I had no inkling at all that this is the year of Almighty God's knife coming into action against Lekh Ram.  

All these things that have combined reveal that the destiny of Almighty God has become charged and the heavens will certainly show some Sign so come let us all join in prayer so that Allah the Almighty with His grace may join this Sign which He is to show with our prayers and that we may also benefit from it.
