Description

And who speaks better than one who invites people to Allah and does what is right and affirms 'I am surely of those who submit'?

('The Holy Quran'.  Ha Mim al-Sajdah.  34).

The winds blowing towards God are the ones that bear fruit.  This is the very era of worldwide invitation to Allah and of reaping its fruits towards which I am calling all the Jamats.  

Although the winds of atheism are blowing in Europe and are in fact blowing all over the world and God has practically escaped people's lives but the countries of northern Europe and especially the Scandinavian countries are far ahead in atheism than the other European countries and their educational bureaus are also centers of atheism.  So it is a difficult task to cal them towards God unless one adopts the  appropriate ways with decorum.

Wherever atheism has a stronghold in Europe its greatest cause are the perverted beliefs of Christianity and whenever dignitaries rose their voices against these perverted beliefs they were severely punished and disgraced and defamed.  For example Newton was abused when he raised his voice against certain religious ideas that were wrong.  It is a very painful chapter in Europe's history but it is incorrect to say that the whole of Europe is atheist.  The people who are called atheists had among them many a great devotee of the Divine Unity who paid a heavy price for their disbelief.  It is wrong not to preach to them in dismay saying that today they are atheists.  Secondly before they are brought to religion it is important that they believe in God.  How and why would those who have strayed far off from God because they were presented with a false idea of God ever come towards Islam? To invite to Allah is to bring them to the God they have lost.  Once having brought them to this juncture you may then teach them the lesson of Prophethood.  It is the same lesson given in the Kalima [creed] of 'There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah'.

Those who are extreme in their Christianity are mostly so because of their foolishness because belief to them often means the twisted imaginations of the scholiasts of the Middle Ages - Such as those found among the Muslims as well as among other religions.  If you call people who have moved away from the religion of such ideas to religion they would of course think that it is a religion of extremist ideology.  And their minds would bring up these images.  Especially if you call them to Islam it would bring to their mind images of extremism due to the violence of such as [carried out in] Iran and Khomeini.  The only solution to this is to call them to Allah.

The God of Islam is a universal God and is in fact the one and only God.  So one who calls towards God must possess universal characteristics: to be free of all types of prejudices, to be free from the influence of any eastern ideas.  Even to call towards a God of religion who is the God of the entire universe and not [to do it] just in name but in order to do so one must inculcate the Godly colours in oneself.  If a theophany of Godly attributes can be seen appearing in you then these attributes have an endless magnetism.

Acts of piety are not exclusive to Islam.  It is one thing to call people to God and another to call oneself to God.  You cannot bring others to God until you call yourselves to God.

Gravity is incredibly powerful but the power which overpowers gravity is mentioned in this verse 'And who speaks better than one who invites people to Allah......' the power mentioned in 'who speaks better' is a command to affiliate with Allah and this command predominates every other thing.  The greatest manifestation of the beauty of this summoning to Allah was born in the person of Muhammad the Holy Messenger of Allah ﷺ and observe how gloriously he attracted the enemies to himself, [even] those who were thirsty for his blood.  Turn to pious acts and only then will you be worthy of being the summoners to Allah.

This Society after having detested religion are also now detesting God.  So in order to call towards God you will have to create a spiritual magnetism within you greater than their [concept of] gravity.  The Norwegians as a people are pious in temperament, and righteous in nature.  If they have turned atheist it is due to rationality because the beliefs they were given about God could never be accepted by any rational person.  These nations have accomplished the work of 'There is no God' and you are to accomplish the work of 'Except Allah'.  To speak with fairness, God-consciousness, truly sharing in the pain of humanity and modesty are all examples of Godly characteristics.  Doing what is right and inviting to Allah are 2 names for the same thing.  When these 2 powers come together, they emerge as an inexpugnable force which none has the power to overcome.
