Khutba Juma

Description
Who will lend to Allah a goodly loan? So He will increase it manifold for him and he will have a generous reward. And the day when thou wilt see the believing men and the believing women, their light running before them and on their right hands 'Glad tidings for you this day! Gardens with streams flowing through wherein you will abide. That is the supreme triumph.' ('The Holy Quran'. al-Hadid [Iron]: 12, 13). These verses are the introduction to today's sermon because today the new year of Tehrik e Jadid [The New Appeal] is to be announced. This verse presents the philosophy of financial offerings in a new way. The increasing of a loan is not its reward but the generous reward is still due which is mentioned in the [following] verse. The question is that what need has God for a goodly loan when He is Himself the giver of everything? To understand this one should ponder over the commandments of 'The Holy Quran' which pertain to the prohibition of interest and nobody is ever permitted to receive Rupees from another and to return it on an increase. That God that has prohibited a wrong loan took it upon himself to receive a loan [saying] 'Why not give us a loan and We will give you back more than you had given'. If God takes then it was He who had Himself given it and look how he receives by honouring one's dignity that it is given as a loan. There is yet a section of the Jamats that has the ability to give more and there is a great that can be made in this relation. Even though with he grace of Allah the financial contributions of the Community are increasing. Allah the Almighty returns it manifold in this world too. These are the sacrifices of the great elders which are showing their true colours today. In addition to this is the generous reward mentioned in the next verse. The bounty being received by the world through the blessings of Tehrik e Jadid are the fruits that is a part of this world. But Allah the Almighty says that the even greater rewards that will be granted on the Day of Judgement that is the generous reward mentioned by Allah the Almighty. Financial offerings are not something that is a worldly aim. If somebody contributes in this world with the intention of receiving more then they would receive it in this world but they would be deprived of the أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ ['generous reward'] and the فَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ ['supreme triumph']. I announce the sixty-third year of the first section, fifty-third year of the second section, thirty-third year of the third section and the twelfth year of the fourth section. There was a time when the payments would lag behind from the promises. Now with the grace of God the Community always offers much more than the promises. There is no equivalent in the whole world of a Community offering such voluntary sacrifices. None other than the Communities and Divine movements of Prophets can achieve this nor ever have done. This is a living Community it is a Community that is offering sacrifices. Last year Rs.96000000 have been received. The [spiritual] fighters of the Tehrik e Jadid have also increased the standard of contributions per capita have also increased. Collectively in terms of payment Germany has still not yet let anyone get ahead of them. They are making strong and firm contributions. America is at Number 2, third in Number is Pakistan and Great Britain is at Number 4 and Canada is at Number 5. The definitive verdicts of the spiritual sacrifice cannot be made from these facts and numbers because different situations prevail in different countries. Allah is the who looks at the sincerity so keep in view 'Holy is He who keeps watch over me'.* May Allah the Almighty always take the Community ahead in progressing in this pure competition of love. * Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. 'Mahmood Ki Ameen'. 'Durr e Samin'). The text http://www.alislam.org/urdu/sermon/FST19961108-UR.pdf © The Tahir Archive / MTA International, 2015.
