Description
With the Grace of Allah Almighty today the twenty-first Jalsa Salana [Annual Conference] of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Canada is being held. Today the eight Jalsa Salana of Guatemala is also taking place. They have also requested that they be considered for inclusion in my sermon. Whenever I address to Community I take the whole world into consideration. Although I will be specifically addressing the Ahmadiyya Community of Canada today but Guatemala and all the other branches of the Community will be included in it. When one prays 'I seek Allah's refuge from Satan the rejected' one should do so with concentration and in earnest in thinking which rejected Satan one is seeking refuge from. At the moment falsehood is mankind's greatest enemy. To lie is a sin but it is also a poison which shows its effect on a daily basis. The greatest chaos in the world at this time is that of falsehood. Falsehood enters into one through minute openings. Certain people of the Community send me careless reports regarding the preaching activities and although those Reports don't appear to be lies, but their inner conscience is guilty in knowing that they have deviated from the path of truth. We do not convert people into Ahmadiyya by bribing them or by promising to build schools, colleges or hospitals. If faith is for God then promises ought to be made for God's sake. God Almighty promises the believers that He has bought from them their beings, their wealth and rewarded them with Paradise in return. When you preach you should inform people of all kinds of dangers and even beware them from hypocrites. Your preaching will never be successful if you do not understand the meanings of 'I seek Allah's refuge from Satan the rejected' and if you do not acquire the capabilities to identify the Satan within. Ponder over the matter of [the prayer] 'There is no might or power except with Allah' as well in understanding the requirement so of 'I seek refuge ...' People lie profusely for the acquisition of worldly benefits. Such lies which result in lasting benefits also result in lasting detriment. Some people who appear to be good lie so that they may be seen as virtuous people. One of the attributes of falsehood is that its requires one to yearn for the worldly benefits as if one has escaped the eye of God and will not be punished for it. If you are to create a new life in the Community in Canada then you must abstain from these poisons which are the enemies of life. Purify and cleanse yourselves. Never beg anything from anyone except from Allah and then show the patience begging necessitates. One of the many things are in dire need of in order to spread out into the western world is truthfulness. Once again I call out to the whole world to wage a Holy War against falsehood. Create the power of truth within you and keep watch for it all around you. Be truthful so that a Society can born in this country which is distinct from all others. Truth in itself also grants serenity. You may receive of the world by lying, by worshiping Satan but this will not quench the fire in your heart. Those desires will only stoke the fires of the heart to blaze even more. Truth is something which grants satisfaction and those who are truthful are content even in poverty. Preachers should be born in every home. May Allah enable them to call people towards God with success so that they may sense that God is pleased with them.
