Darsul Quran. al-Nisa [The Women]: 37 (3).

Description

'And worship Allah and associate naught with Him and be kind to parents and to kindred to orphans and to the needy and to the neighbours near and far and to the companion and the wayfarer and those whom your right hand possesses.  Surely Allah loves not arrogant boastful people.'


'To kindred' includes close relatives.  Islam teaches showing kindness to them even if the husband and wife have separated.  Both of them should remember the good things about one another.  This can also solve a lot of the problems of living together.  A woman should not be ungrateful to her husband.  One should not let the heaven that lies under the feet of mothers go to waste.  A righteous woman is better than all the gifts of the world.  The word 'Jar' means a neighbour, enjoining the rights of neighbours and treating them kindly and the Prophetic Traditions also grant important rights to travellers.
