Description

'Did I not enjoin on you O ye children of Adam that you worship not Satan - For he is your sworn enemy.'

'And that you serve me? This is the right path.'

'And he did lead astray a great multitude of you.  Why did you not then reason?'

('The Holy Quran'.  Ya Sin: 61 - 63).

In the previous sermons I had mentioned that if you want the forgiveness of Almighty God it is essential for you to become the people of the Lord of Mercy and I had spoken with reference to the verses of Sura al-Furqan [The Criterion] and mentioned what you would have to do to become the people of the Lord of mercy.  In the verses I have presented before you today it is said that 'Do not be the people of Satan.'  You cannot become the people of the Lord of mercy if you become the people of Satan.

These verse are deeply connected with Sura al-Fatiha [The Opening].  Although Sura' Fatiha is not repeated here in detail but such categorical allusions are made to the Sura' Fatiha that one's mind can never fall astray.  The way to recognise Satan is mentioned in that if you are bowing before any other than Allah for Lordship, the Gracious and the Merciful and considering them alone to be the مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ['Master of the Day of Judgement'] then you are certainly worshiping them alone and if your mouths utter إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ ['Thee alone do we worship']* to God but consider Satan to be the lord, the the gracious and the merciful then your claiming إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ is a lie.  Wherever Satan is being worshiped in the world, it is a result of attributing these 4 attributes mentioned in the Sura' Fatiha to those other than Allah.

The friends of Satan are those who disbelieve.  Sever your ties with people who have no regard for the matters pertaining to Allah and the Prophet for it is through such that Satan leads astray.  Our society ought too disconnect totally with the friends of Satan.

With reference to the attribute of Allah as the Lord the greatest disturbances in the world today are economic disturbances which have resulted from making Lord of those other than Allah.  If the prayer of إِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ [thee alone do we implore'] is not being fulfilled in one's favour after the prayer of إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ it means that they are false in affirming 'Thee alone do we worship'.  When you free yourselves from the Lordship of those other than Allah and come under the shade of the Lordship of Allah the fountain of the Lordship of God would certainly flow for you the more as a result of the worship of Allah.

You are the last Community of God to save this world but if you indulge in things such as things as who gobbled up whose money in your everyday lives and such evil plots are being carried out how can you be true in proclaiming . وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ  إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ  The condition in إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ is that 'We are worshiping you so we implore you for help.  This precept discloses the secret to the fulfillment of prayers.  So correct your bonds of relationship with Allah the Almighty and this is impossible until you turn away from the worship of Satan.  

With reference to the attribute of Grace when one places trust in those other than Allah and keeps the company of the nobility for the advantages that would result from doing so it is all meaningless to implore Allah for help.  If you are to connect with the Gracious then do so in purity and so gracefully that you never even contemplate anyone in your heart in company with His Grace.  We must become the servants of Allah.  If we become His people then the whole universe would be ours.  May Allah the Almighty enable us to receive true guidance from the verses of 'The Holy Quran' and to act upon it.
