The attributes of the Almighty God mentioned in verse Number 24 offer further explication of the 4 essential attributes mentioned in Surah al Fatiha and are also mentioned in Surah al-Jumua. Peace, is a natural outcome from al-Malik [The Sovereign] and al-Quddus [The Holy]. Peace has a natural bond with these attributes. Peace not only in the context of conveying tidings of peace. It is important to understand this connection that one who knows Allah to be peace would also be a source of peace to people. In fact here the believers are being counselled to adopt these attributes. When they become men of al-Malik and al-Quddus they become an embodiment of peace and become Muheymun [Guardian] as a result. Jabbar [Compellor] means one who mends broken, ruined things: Almighty is He Who sets aright a ruined affair And breaks up a running one - None can access his secrets ['Tadhkirah: Revelations, Dreams & Visions'. (English: 1976, Islam International Publications Ltd, 2009). 424, 999). Magnificence behoves the being who possesses and bears all these qualities. He is not careless of of the world rather He has its needs in sight. Verse number 25 mentions the God the Creator and it refutes the Hindu belief in the eternity of spirit and matter and that God merely creates anew by utilising these in diverse ways. Humans can do this too. Allah Almighty is not only the Creator but also al-Bari [the Maker] and al-Musawwir [the Fashioner]. These attributes annihilate this ideology. The verses of Surah al-Mumtahinna are also applicable to the current days. Jihad is the name given to preaching in the way of Allah. Merely due to their belief the enemies create situations for the believers where they are not even permitted to leave their houses.
