Description
Oye who believe! When you go forth in the cause of Allah, make proper investigation and say not to anyone who greets you with the greeting of peace 'Thou art not a believer. You seek the goods of this life, but with Allah are good things in plenty. Such were you before this, but Allah conferred His favour on you; so do make proper investigation. Surely, Allah is well aware of what you do. (The Holy Quran. al-nisa [The Women]: 95). And surely, the works of all these have not yet been requited but thy Lord will certainly repay them in full, according to their works. He is surely well aware of all that they do. (The Holy Quran. Hood: 112). Say 'Sufficient is Allah for a Witness between me and you; surely, He knows and sees His servants full well.' (The Holy Quran. Bani Israel [Children of Israel]: 97). I shall elucidate the prophetic references in 'The Holy Quran' that have been fulfilled through the ages. There is a verse from 'Sura' Ya Sin' Holy is He Who created all things in pairs, of what the Earth grows and of themselves, and what they know not. (The Holy Quran. Ya Sin: 37). At the time of the advent of 'The Holy Quran' the Arabs were only aware of the husbandry of the date whereas now science has proved that let alone fruits, all matter and anti-matter is produced in pairs. There is a verse from 'Sura' al-Inshiqaq': And when the Earth is spread out. And casts out all that is in her, and appears to become empty. (The Holy Quran. al-Inshiqaq [The Sundering]: 4, 5). This refers to the discovery of the Americas and the commencement of scientific progress. A verse of 'Surah Al Falaq': 'And from the evil of those who blow upon the knots of mutual relationships to undo them.' (The Holy Quran. al-Falaq [The Dawn]: 5). Is a most magnificent prophecy about the 'divide and rule' policy of great powers of the world, in particular of the Imperialist rule of Britain of the last century. The verse is a 'summary' of Imperialist values but despite all this Islam would advance and triumph: And they stayed in their Cave 300 years and to that they added 9 (The Holy Quran. al-Kahf [The Cave]: 26). I have been to see the caves mentioned herein and it was indeed courageous of those who believed in the unity of God to have escaped to the wilderness to get away from those who associated partners with God. The prophetic mention: And His are the lofty ships reared aloft on the sea like mountains. (The Holy Quran. al-Rahman [The Gracious]: 25). Of the sailing of lofty ships was fulfilled by the creation of large fleets. Also the enormous naval power that USA is employing in the war against Iraq. The references in: Does not such a one know that when those in the graves are raised. And that which is hidden in the breasts is brought forth. Surely their Lord will, on that day, be fully Aware of them. (The Holy Quran. al-Adiyat [The Charging Steeds]: 10 -- 12). And: And when the graves are laid open. Every soul shall then know what it has sent forth and what it has kept back. (The Holy Quran. al-Infitar [The Ripping Open]: 5, 6). Are prophecies that have come true with the extraordinary advancements made in the field of archaeology. A few Ahadith [Traditions] illustrate that the One who would always inform the Holy Prophet ? was indeed the all-Aware God. There is a tradition narrated in which the Holy Prophet ? declared to his then enemy Suraqa that one day he would wear the bracelets of the Emperor Chosroes II of Iran. What seemed highly implausible then actually came true by Suraqa's subsequent acceptance of Islam and Islam's domination in Iran during the time of Hadhrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Among the spoils of war were the sumptuous bracelets of Chosroes that were given to Suraqa. Among the prophetic Traditions is one where the Holy Prophet ? said about Hadhrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that his beard would be coloured with blood. There are also a few traditions of the Promised Messiah (on whom be pleased) that exemplified that he too was indeed Divinely informed about times to come.
