Khutba Juma

Description
They did not pay proper respect to the Majesty of Allah as was due to it. And the earth will be entirely in His grasp on Doomsday: So will the heavens be rolled up by His right hand. Glory to Him and exalted is He above that which they associate. And the trumpet will be blown and those in the heavens and those in the Earth will fall in a swoon, except those whom Allah will please. Then it will be blown again and lo! They will stand and wait. And the Earth will shine with the light of her Lord and the Book will be opened up and the Prophets and the witnesses will be brought and judgement will be meted out to the them in all fairness and they shall not be wronged. ('The Holy Quran'. al-Zumar [The Throngs]: 68 - 70). It is God to whom everybody returns. A time will come when the consciousness of whatever life there is in the heavens and the Earth will disappear and only one being will remain who would be conscious and that is Allah of omnipresent majesty. That day His sovereignty would be manifest in its full glory. All else would lose consciousness for a time except the one about whom Allah wills. The word مَن ['except'] in this place means the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Allah the Almighty would include him with Himself at this time of a grand manifestation of His attribute of sovereignty so that he may visualise the return to God in full sovereignty. And the person of Muhammad the Messenger of Allah who would not only be conscious at this time but could pose no danger to God's sovereignty and no suspicion of any kind could be entertained (God forbid) about him sharing in it with God. Everybody is to pass from this world, nobody is everlasting. Only the existence of God remains so. Everything else even to the point of one's self-awareness would be erased. There is no need to worry for the brother who departed in a good state whilst treading the paths of God, one should worry for oneself because Allah knows best whether one would continue upon acts of piety or not and if one would be able to remove the stains of one's misdemeanors or not. So this is exactly the lesson in 'We belong to Allah' for it does not say 'It was from Allah' to mean that the deceased came from God and returned to Him rather it is said that we who are alive are from Allah and are to return only to Him. So those who remain behind should worry about themselves. The funeral prayer also has the words 'O Allah! Forgive our living and our dead.....' The gap that has appeared in us with the departing of respected Aftab Ahmad Khan, Amir of the Ahmadiyya Community of Great Britain can only be filled if many others follow in his footsteps. His tenure was a very glorious one. Those who (upon the deaths of their elders) stay alive with the endevour that 'We will not let their good works die and we would increase our relationship with God and as a result we would increase in piety' and those nations that grasp this secret can never face death. Upon receiving the news of the departure of respected Aftab Ahmad Khan the voice suddenly arose from my heart that 'We belong to Allah, our dear brother has left us'. There is a revelation of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) along the same lines [recorded] in 'Tadhkirah'.* His Holiness has not applied this revelation to a specific person and perhaps the esoteric wisdom behind it is that many such blessed people would depart from this world upon receiving the news of whose departure the believers would suddenly utter that 'We belong to Allah, our brother has left us'. I especially commend the services rendered by respected Aftab Ahmad Khan for the Community because he would keep in touch with me about every important affair and act according to my dictates and as a result of it his qualities had become highly refined. He accomplished all the duties for which he was made responsible with great success and has reached a very pious end. May Allah immerse him in mercy. May Allah always bring up such people among his progeny who would keep his memory alive through virtuous acts. I would also lead the funeral prayers in absentia of 4 other deceased. The names of the deceased are: Mr. Mubarik Mahmud of Panipat, ([currently] Lahore) - He too would always accomplish his duties with devotion and had a very commendable way of serving. Chaudhrey Latif Ahmad, Secretary Waqf e Jadid Ghatialian - He was a devoted summoner to Allah, he was martyred in a bus incident during a journey undertaken for the work of the Community. Mrs. Alam Bibi wife of Chadhrey Fazal Din of Ghhasittpura - She was the mother of the Missionary of the Community Mr. Fazal Elahi Arif. Mrs. Syeda Munira Zuhoor - She was a highly accomplished poet and had an extremely deep bond of affiliation. *إِنَّا للهِ ہمارا بھائ اس دنیا سے چل دیا The text http://www.alislam.org/urdu/sermon/FST19961004-UR.pdf © The Tahir Archive / MTA International, 2015.
