Friday Sermon
Khutba Juma
Urdu
Description
At the last Friday Sermon I spoke of the state of affairs in Pakistan and presented a few estimations. I estimated that the flood of corruption and wickedness rising in Pakistan will certainly end in drowning the Supreme Court. I estimated that as a result of this flood the very Constitution itself would drown which has unleashed a chain of cruelty and barbarity. This was the theme from which many Ahmadis had held onto hope that this time the Constitution which continued to deal cruelly and barbarically with Ahmadis would be sunk. In this relation there are a few things which although they cannot be seen to be fulfilled presently but would certainly come to pass in future - God willing. It was thought that the logical outcome of the constitutional crisis striking the Supreme Court would be that the constitution which has broken the court into pieces would depart from us and a new constitution would be drawn based upon justice and God-consciousness. This was the expectation based upon well-wishing of the nation, because if the constitution is left as it is that constitution which would ruin the country. It is better for this constitution is broken or this constitution would break the country. How and when this would happen Allah knows best. However I had estimated that perhaps the people who draw the resolutions would at least have come to realise that this constitution can come to no good and that it was necessary for the evil to be torn up along with this constitution which concerns the Ahmadiyya Community. Whenever an amendment is attempted the requirements of justice have always been forgotten that this is not the constitution mentioned by the Qaid e Azam. If the fundamental law of the land continues to neglect justice then the country which has consumed our fundamental rights would itself be consumed by its own law. Presently some things have changed but the constitutional crisis continues. Allah knows which side the camel sits on in future. Many cases which have recently come to light present a fearsome image of Pakistan to the world. This situation cannot continue for ever. There should be some sort of a revolution in a country engulfed by such turmoil. If that revolution does not sweep this constitution along with it then this constitution would sweep the country along with it. I appeal to the members of the Jamat to pray for this country though it is not the nation of most Ahmadis but if it is my nation or the nation of those through whose efforts Ahmadiyya is spreading in the whole world then one should share in its pain to that extent. Pray that the opinions may be changed so that the country does not get out of hand. Turning to the real subject of the sermon about prayers most Ahmadi families write that their Prayers have been transformed. The speed with which the Jamat is spreading across the world has reached into the Millions. It is not unlikely that this year it would reach 5000000. The future progress of the Jamat is linked to the moral training of our Jamat. It has certainly been my prayer that Allah the Almighty may increase our capability. The worldwide revolution that is taking place as a result of the sermons on Prayer is a means set up by Allah the Almighty to increase our ability. Many of the statements of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) highlight ways to derive enjoyment from Prayer and throw light upon the reality of the bond between serfdom and lordship. To enjoy the Prayer requires fortitude and steadfastness. I advise that you should try to devote a part of every prayer to self-analysis.
