Description
The word al-Saa' has been used in various ways in 'The Holy Quran'. 'The Holy Quran' is not a miracle merely on the basis of its eloquence (as some people consider the Quranic miracle to be confined just to its eloquence) in fact the whole of 'The Holy Quran' is full of grand and powerful miracles. These miracles are to do with the past the present and the future. Furthermore the Quran is a continuous miracle from the point of view of all subjects of knowledge in the world. The greatest miracle that was granted to the Holy Prophet ? is this same 'Holy Quran' which is not only a miracle in itself but hides uncountable miracles within itself. For example it contains points relating to the creation of the universe and the creation of mankind. 'The Holy Quran' does not present the miracles pertaining to the dominance of the Holy Prophet ? because such miracles can only serve to increase the believers in their faith. The second type of miracles is of wonders that are presented before the opponents as a proof of the truth are 'The Holy Quran' contains numerous examples of this kind. The miracle of reviving the death back to life is attributed to the Christ (peace be upon him) and this is explained and critiqued by a famous professor from Manchester [Harley Willams. 'A doctor looks at miracles', 1959 and Frederick Fyvie Bruce]. The dead that are brought back to life by prophets are always those who are spiritually dead and Allah Almighty has mentioned this revival from the in very clear terms in 'The Holy Quran' with reference to the Holy Prophet ?: O ye who believe respond to Allah and his messenger when he calls you to bring you to life, and know that Allah surely supervenes betwixt a man and his heart and that it's him towards whom thou shalt return. (The Holy Quran. al-Anfal [The Booty]: 25). 9 February 1995.
